Cosme Palacios was an essential figure in the political and social life of Bilbao at the end of the 19th century.
In 1894 Cosme Palacio Bermejillo inherited the family winery founded by his father in Laguardia in 1863, turning it into the most advanced winery in the Rioja Alavesa.
