TASTING NOTES
- Appearance: Deep cherry color.
- Nose: Aromas of ripe fruit, cherry and raisins accompanied by toasted and mineral notes.
- Palate: Tasty and powerful, with marked tannins. Long and persistent finish reminiscent of ripe fruit.
ELABORATION
100% Tempranillo variety.
Manual destemming and cold maceration.
Fermentation in oak vats with traditional treading twice a day.
Aged for 24 months in new French oak barrels.

The Sierra Cantabria Winery is located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a town with a great winemaking tradition in the heart of La Rioja. The winery belongs to the Eguren family, a family of winemakers for five generations in La Rioja and with projects in other DOs, such as the Teso la Monja winery in the DO Toro. The wines of Sierra Cantabria are classic Riojan style wines that try to provide some modernity by relegating the prominence of wood to the background, highlighting the fruit and intensity.
