Tasting notes:
Color: bright cardinal tones with intense purple, which highlight a deep layer. Clean and brilliant.
Nose: clear aromas of black acid fruit of blueberry and myrtle, with the pleasant minerality of the pacrelas with siliceous surface of the queprocede, in perfect balance with elegant touches of fine lactones, coffeetorrefacto and liquorice of the American oak with subtle tar and spices of labarrica of French oak of soft toasted.
alate: excellent skeleton of lively sweet tannins, in harmony with the freshness of a lively acidity that are a fine black fruit, among elegant roasted, soft spices, with an elegant, intense and persistent finish, with mineral and light smoked background, of great complexity.
Elaboration and Ageing:
It comes from plots where soil conditions force the vineyard to withstand prolonged water stress in summer, from which very low yields are obtained, thus achieving a wine with a characteristic mineral touch that combines with nuances.
Tempranillo fruit trees and wood tones after 12 months spent in French and American oak barrels.
The Tempranillo vineyards are located between Cubillas de Santa Marta and Quintanilla de Trigueros, very close to Bodega Valdelosfrailes. Its soils are typical of the area, very cold limestone character seek a slow and contained maturation. El Terrón Blanco and El Horno are our estates in Quintanilla de Trigueros, both with steep slopes and loamy, very limy soils. The special care put into the work allows them to obtain a limited amount of high quality grapes with the nuances of elegance and minerality they seek.
Old vines and Sallanas are located in Cubillas de Santa Marta a short distance from the winery. They are dry, middle-aged plots on poor soils and silica covered with boulders. Very limited production in small clusters of grapes.
concentrated with all the character and fruit of the Tempranillo of the area.
