TASTING:

View: a beautiful violet color a sign of slow evolution (it can evolve over many years)
Nose: slightly toasted, aromas of red and black fruits, compote - a sign of great ripeness of the grape. Aromas of spices and tobacco. Beautiful olfactory complexity.
Mouth: solid and deep wine, its evolution demonstrates great richness in the mouth. Silky tannin, persistent without aggressiveness, well rounded. Perfect mouth-nose adaptation.

PREPARATION AND AGEING:

Red wine Aged in wood. 14 months in French oak barrels.
Varieties: Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot

CURIOSITIES:

Château de Pez, west of the commune of Saint-Estèphe, rivals Calon Ségur as the oldest of all Bordeaux vineyards. Its 39 hectares enjoy ideal exposure on the hills around the château. Thanks to continued investment, Château de Pez has been carefully restored since it was acquired by the Maison de Champagne Louis Roederer in 1995. Today, this newly classified Cru Bourgeois has seen its former glory restored and resumes its rightful place in the limelight as one of the bright stars of Saint-Estèphe.
