Casar de Vide Treixadura 2020

Casar de Vide Treixadura, is a Ribeiro with a measure of the most select varieties of this ancestral area. Treixadura combines perfectly with Albariño, Godello and Torrontés to produce this special and personal wine. An exhaustive assembly work in the winery has allowed to transfer style, character and balance to the wine.

Although some rain at the end of the summer forced us to keep an eye on this Atlantic climate, it really favoured and gave freshness to the final phase of maturation, which concluded with a harvest during the second half of September, with optimum levels of maturity .

The vineyards from which this first Casar de Vide Treixadura was made were selected for their proximity to both banks of the Miño River, with different orientations so that the treixadura could express different shades: some of freshness in the shadiest orientations and others of ripeness in the most exposed ones, always seeking complexity together with other noble varieties of the area and always respecting this Atlantic character that is breathed in the landscape where carballos, mimosas and Galician pines abound, in deep siliceous soils.

Tasting Note

View: It has a bright pale straw yellow color with greenish and steel reflections, clean and very bright.

Nose: It is frank, intense and very direct, with touches of freshly cut apple, green banana peel, apricot also green and soft touches of white flower and carnation, with some tropical memories of fresh pineapple. Subtle citrus background of grapefruit.

Palate: Excellent length and balance, with the fresh sensations of its Atlantic origin, with a lively acidity and the rich aromatic sensations of the palate, where clear memories of fresh apple and peach are perceived, with a long, lively and balanced finish.
