Varieties: 95% Tinto Fino, 5% Albillo Mayor.Fermentation with native yeasts in cement tanks. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels.

In the twelfth century King Alfonso VIII of Castile gives the monks of Silos a quintana de la Ribera located eight leagues from the monastery in exchange for a property in Tordesillas. That place is so valuable for one reason only: its vineyards. It is then that it becomes the cellar of the monks. At first it was known as Arpidio, name of its former owner, but over time the municipality was renamed Quintana del Pidio.
