ELABORATION
This is the second year of this sparkling wine made using the Champenois method. Sparkling wine full of natural energy that, combined with the long maturation process in the bottle, gives a wine of great aromatic complexity and an attractive and strong brine minerality. Made from the Hondarribi Zuri and Hondarribi Beltza varieties in the Basque Country by the Artadi winery, from vineyards located in Zarautz. The vineyards are planted on the southeastern slopes, on clay soils with rocky slate and basalt soil, protected by shallow sandstones.
CURIOSITIES
In 2015, the Izar-lek Mahastiak project was born, bringing together the Zapiain & López de Lacalle (Artadi) families. With the help and experience of the winegrower Inaxio Manterola in Zarautz, they cultivate 3.75 hectares of Hondarribi Zuri and Honzarribi Beltza, with which they make this sparkling wine from txacoli wine.
